Setting Up a Campfire GrillOne of America’s pastimes is going out to the woods, setting up a camp, and taking in all the outdoors. Families, organizations, and clubs all across the States participate in camping on an annual basis. Part of camping involves going fishing, surviving against nature without electricity, and hunting for your own food. That sounds all dandy until it gets time to prepare dinner. Without a camp fire grill, things can quickly become very complicated. So then how the pilgrims, colonists, and American Indians cook their food? Well, they just put their food on a stick and held it above the campfire. Nowadays, there are better ways to do things.
Seeing up a campfire grill requires first building a fire-pit. Dig up a hole in the ground, throw in some rocks, lumber, and chips, and then start a fire. Then, using rocks, build four sides around the pit so that wind does not put out the flame. Make sure that the sides are close enough so that you can fit a stainless steel grill over on the top. Place your grill on top of the fire and you have yourself a camping grill. Be sure to place some sturdy rocks on each side of the grill so that it does not blow off and send your food flying. If possible, you can also implement a propane camping stone into your camp grill. This is really not required unless you are intending to cook a very large portion of food. |
