Although the outward appearance is rather appealing because of its outward cleanliness, you can't judge a book by its cover - looks are deceiving.

Club Residencial in Sosua, Dominican Republic is sold as condominiums and run as a hotel.

The biggest reason not to live or buy at Club Residencial is the poor management. Bad tenants have driven out the good tenants.

Loud music with big thumping base that penetrate walls gave me a headache. Despite many visits to management, they took no action except to complain to the party animals, and of course in a half-hour the music was louder than before. I would have cut the electricity to the apartment, but management did absolutely nothing as they simply gave up. No police calls, no nothing. Subsequent complaints to management couldn't get the manager out of the chair.

The area is invested with mosquitoes, but when the maid comes around, the first thing she will do is open all the windows wide open and you must swat mosquitos all night so don't expect sleeping here.

The sound on my television finally went out, the only thing management did was blame the cable company - even though the television in the bar area worked fine with perfect sound.

Don't bother checking in - I check out the next day.

Management is inept and will find any excuse not to solve the problems. Until managment is changed don't bother checking in or don't bother buying a condominium unit here. Prices are rather low here and continue to fall - this is the reason why it sounds like a bargain, but is not.
